For example, according to a report in the Aberdeen Press and Journal, one residence recently sold in the north-east of Scotland in a mere ten days. The abode is located in the Moray village of Findhorn, which is on the banks of the Moray Firth and is particularly picturesque.

Commenting on the desirability of the spot, Rod Christie from selling agent CKD Galbraith said: "Findhorn has proven time and time again that the old adage concerning location rings truer than ever."

"Despite the uncertainty in the property market in general, Findhorn is still top of the list of the most popular destinations in the north and there have been some exceptional sales in the village over the last 18 months."

There are two shower rooms in the residence, as well as a bathroom that was recently upgraded with a new bath, shower, toilet, basin, heated towel rail and underfloor heating system.

Meanwhile, there are also four bedrooms, a porch, reception hall with exposed timber floor and large walk-in cloakroom. In addition, the property features a sitting room with a large window that overlooks the bay, a family room with direct access to the garden and a large dining kitchen.

Clearly, those who viewed the residence were impressed as interest was strong from the very start. Within a fortnight, a closing date for bids was set, meaning a deal was not far away.
